My son is in IOP week 3 and for the past three days I have been having that very uneasy feeling. Tonight I recieved the call from his counselor that he didn't show up for IOP. So right now I am waiting for him to come home. I am somewhat calm and I can't say dissappointed because I felt something as many of you know it's almost an automatic sensor. So at this point now I am going to recommend he goes in patient or he will have to go to a halfway house and try to complete his IOP or he will make a choice to no longer live in our home because he has made the decision to use. I feel as if he has been running a sham for 3 weeks, I have tried to be so positive and optimistic but in my heart I didn't feel like he was committed to this. I don't know what he will say when he comes home but in all honesty I know. Im sad, very sad that I cant help him but moreso that he can't embrace all the support and help he has in front of him.I guess I need reassurance that ia am taking the right approach, but I know I can no longer enable him. Thank you for any other options.
