So,,, for all those that already know,,, for those that are intetested,,,
Living with an addict, takes a lot of a strength, deffinetly patience , boundaries, and bottom line,,,, there are ton of us that can walk away , there are some just not ready, and there are some( that's where I am) that ate not just emtionally bound,, but gave birth ,, not that I challenge those with spouses, or siblings, or even parents that are addicts,, same situation, but your baby you give birth to,,, you never think this could happen,,, and when it does,,, you wonder ,, did I love enough,,,,?,,,, then you may not get to that answer, but friends,, you know who you are,, take your hand and guide you,,,,,
My addict(who is not using) called me and said mom,,,you are the most amazing person I know,,, how mom do you do it?,,, I love who I am,,, is what I said .,,, this kind of conversation is priceless ,,, just wanted to share

and I might also add that every mom raising a teenager probably visits some of the same questions- did I love enough? what did I do wrong? and also needs a world of patience...You know....the normie moms.
Life is hard work. That is why golden moments like yours should be celebrated! Hug.
This is great to hear! Your strong and she is noticing that and that will help her as well. We look up to our parents don't we? I always used the 'what would Mom do' when I am at a cross roads. LOL...for all those youthful years of saying 'I'll NEVER be like my mother!" I can only hope I am 1/2 the woman she was! LOL...
That is such a wonderful thing she said to you! YEAH! Hugs out to you both!
P.S. have you seen the new Lowes commercial with mr. and mrs. cardinal, EVERYTIME it comes on I start laughing! LOL....
