well it's been 4 weeks since I heard from my daughter,,, today I or should i say she recieved,,, oh,, a warrent for her arrest,,, I think I would of rather gotten bills,,, but it is what it is,,,, I knew it was a possibility,, since her probation officer called looking for her,,, and basically warned me,, but I guess it's another thing,, visually seeing it,,, sad thing,, all she had to do was show up,,,,, well as I sit here,,, I hope that her starting in new fresh life is working for her,,, although constantly having to tuck,,, I'm sure can be tiring,,oh,, but she is with the love of her life,,, I did say to my husband,, that if,,, which at this point is a big if,,, she does show up,,,, I will call the police,,, so once again,, on high alert,, becasue of Ava,, it will have to be done without her here,,,, that would be helping my addicit,,,, not calling would be enabling,, and I'm done with that,,,, Gosh have I come along way,,, that was my personnel pat on the back,,,,,

so,,, once again,,, please send strength my way,,,,,,, one day this will be in the past,,,, and my daughter will surrender, from the hold of the addicition,,,

keep the light of hope buring,,,,

oh man that damn mail can sure ruin a good day! I'm sorry she has not been in touch with you in 4 weeks I know how painful that is and I think you know the right thing to do and will do the right thing....
She will crash and burn and soon show up at your doorstep looking for food and money and you can feed her while you secretly call the cops and you know what? when she's locked up she won't be able to do her drugs so you will actually be helping her... I know this is hard and it sucks but hang in there mama you can get through this. You are strong and smart and loving and your daughter is lucky to have you as her mama!

thanks Marg,,,, right about that damn mail,,,, ugh,,,,, unfortunatly your right,,,, she eventually will get tired,,,,,, can't even imagine always having too look over my shoulder,,,, what's worse,, is she was not raised this way,,, I wish I could say she had a horrible childhood, and was this demon teenager,,, it would give me validation has to the why's?,,,, although I guess I should be thankfull this all started,, well I should say when I found out,,, she was 21,,,, she was such a good momma to ava,,, her house was clean,, ava was so adjusted,,,, and bam,,, did I see signs,,,, maybe,,,, was the rug slowly being taken from under me,,, perhaps,,, can i put my finger on it,,,, no,,,,my life is an open book,,,

I may not be where I want to be,,, but I'm alot further then I was,,,,
this one day will be my past,,,, can only focus on today,,, have no idea what tomorrow brings

i'm going through the same thing with my daughter right now, she only had to pay a small court fine and they were willing to work with her, but oh she forgot, now she has a bench warrant. If you have the time and read my latest journal you'll see the rest of my story. My heart is once again broken, she back in the hospital and the babies dad got custody again.
You deserve a pat on the back so here's one for you.... I am sending you as much strength as I can right now and wishing you the best. Please keep me in your prayers too.

Cardinal, you are in my thoughts! I know it tugs on the heartstrings a bit but you're strong and following all the right steps. Not enabling is so key and you're well aware of that which is great. And of course your daughter too! I hope and pray she gets sick and tired sooner rather than later...

Kim everything does happen for a reason although we may not understand the reason at the time. Perhaps this will be the time when she realizes this is no way to live and she will want more for herself. I pray this is it and she will surrender and recover to being that beautiful loving daughter that you raised.i pray for peace and hope for you your husband kids and of course little ava. I love what you said about one day this will be your past that is so true and encouraging for me as we'll. love ya dee

thanks kim,,,,,i so appreciate all the strenght I get from this site,,,I would not be where I am,,, If it was not from all of you guys,,,,, it is what it is,,,, my heart aches every day,,, but one day when she returns, it will be because she wants a real fresh start,,,,,

Dee,,, everything does happen for a reason,,,, I'm truly greatfull that Ava is where she needs to be,,,, that little girl is what gives me purpose,,, I fortunate that my husband,,, is my pillar of strength,,, and my other three kids,,, go with the flow,,,, we don't know what tomorrow brings,,, we can only hope for the day,,,,

Kim you're in my thoughts and prayers, praying you get comfort and peace, and praying for your daughter too. I wish I had called the police when my son had a warrant, I may still have him today. He's free of the addiction but it sure breaks my heart it had to be this way. Wishing you strength each day...Hugs!
