I know that when we lost our dog it really helped to remember all of the ways he was special. What kind of dog is he (or she)?

He is the most loving gentle pit ever. Had him since he's 8 weeks when I adopted him. Thanks Donna. I know there are no words.

I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet. Ours pets are the little ray of sunshine in our lives. They're a comfort and the only one we can count on.

I'm so sorry your going through this all at once, especially during the holidays. I recently had to put my dog down too, he was a lab mix and was 12 years old. We got him as a puppy, he was family. I had him cremated and had the vet put a paw print into a mold for me, we got his ashes in a really nice box with the paw print on top, I keep his picture with it and think of him often. It's tough I know.
I can tell by reading your post that you are a very caring person sometimes life just sucks. I hope you know you are not alone we are always here for you. I hope things somehow turn around for you. I just want you to know I'm here for you, I don't know if I can be of any help but I'll try anyway. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry. I hate when the dogs get sick. Over the years, I have had 5, and there is one left...I don't know if I can do it again.

So, are you in your new home yet?
maybe you can just think about what you can control...spoiling the dog. decorating your new house, purging junk you no longer need....making your home a sanctuary. you deserve it.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. It's so hard when it seems like everything is crashing down, especially at the same time! I just put my beloved Cocker Spanial Max down in October after his cancer returned. It is never easy to lose a beloved pet because they are like family. While going through this, I was also dealing with my son's addiction. Try to focus on yourself, although not always easy. Remember that good things do not last forever, but neither do the bad! I wish you luck and am so sorry :(

I am sorry you are going through all this! I wasn't sure I would survive having 1 child that was an addict, and you are dealing with 3!?!? That right there tells me you are a strong woman. Remember that!! I know this is easier said than done, but take care of yourself. Once I started to do that it made me feel better. Continue to take your beloved Pit on walks, get a manicure, go for a hike, go to the library and pick up a book to read for an afternoon. You deserve it.
We can not control our addicts!!! We get so tangled in the dysfunction that we almost become addicted to the dysfunction! Step back, say the Serenity Prayer, and breath.....
