Last year at this time, Jimmy walked out of a rehab facility, no intention of completing the program. I came home from work today to find out that He went back to the same inpatient facility in Florida and voluntarily checked himself in. He called his Dad and said he cannot live like this anymore. He wants to stop and needs help.

While I am a bit empty on the inside, part of me
Is extremely relieved that he got on the plane and went to rehab himself versus us mandating again. As they say "if addicts want help they know where to get it".

Pray for him that he sticks with the program and truly wants help
I can't believe it's almost a year to the day that I posted him heading off to rehab, but last time we made the choice. This time he did it totally on his own. He even told his father that he knew we wouldn't send him if he told us that's where he wanted to go again, but he said that he needs help and he can't get it at home.

I can only be hopeful since he made an independent decision. Praying.
