HAS ANYONE HAD SUCCESS WITH AN INTERVENTION?? IF SO, HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT IT WITHOUT PAYING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I HAVE A NIECE AGE 29 IN SUCH NEED OF HELP, BUT TOO SICK TO GRASP THE CONCEPT, AND HAS BEEN DOING DRUGS AND ALCOHOL FOR ABOUT 13 YRS. I ALREADY POSTED A DISCUSSION ABOUT HER WHEN I ANNOUNCED THAT I WAS "NEW HERE". I REALLY AM LOOKING FOR ANY ADVICE THAT ANYONE CAN OFFER. THANK YOU, AND GOD BLESS!!!

Here is my personal experience, and all can chime in here.
Unless the person has hit bottom and wants and seeks help on their own, it is a waste of money. Both for the interventionist and the rehab. The only thing you can do is help her hit bottom faster and IF you are enabling stop.

THANK YOU JOE, I AM AWARE OF THIS. TO MGS YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT HITTING ROCK BOTTOM. THAT IS WHAT I REALLY THINK AND KNOW THAT IS WHAT SHE NEEDS TO DO. I KNOW SHE DOES NOT THINK WITH A CLEAR MIND, SO IT IS UP TO US TO JUST LET HER HAVE A FEW MORE HARD KNOCKS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLIES:)
