I'm going to vent here. I had a conversation with a group of three customers today in our store. The conversation was regarding theft in stores. It came around to drugs being an issue. The male turned to his gf, and this remark came out of his mouth 'see, I TOLD you we should start killing people (he turned to me) and I don't mean just the dealers, but the addicts.' I thought for a moment and said, quietly: 'you know that just because a person is a drug addict doesn't mean they are a bad person.' His GF stopped the conversation immediately and he grumbled and walked away.
NEVER in my life had I wanted to haul off and pop someone in the face as much as that moment.
I thought about our son, who died and was brought back to life to now live a life in recovery, 8 months now, with a baby on the way, new car and great job.
It's ignorance like that, that makes this society bad.

People don't get it until they stand in our shoes. Lucky for them they haven't had to. Life is filled with ignorance. They would be the first ones on their knees if they ever had to deal with what we have lived through.
Wonder what skeletons hide in their closets. I'm not as nice as I used to be with those who judge addicts. Those in recovery are some of the strongest people I have ever met.

I was the head of our Christian Education for over 250 kids...
I said: "do you know you just said that out loud?"
and with in the week she had stress fractures in her feet and had to give up walking. God does do miracles sometimes.
Amazing. People are always stretching my imagination of how stupid they can be!
IF we really followed our impulses, we would be in jail.
