Praying for you guys, one step forward,, and thre steps back,,, it's important to have a solid recovery program,, my addict is living at a sober living home,,, she goes do meeting everyday, sometimes twice a day,, she has now made friends that are also recovering addicts,,, unfortunately life be the same for them, or us ,,, part of the recovery is making changes in everyday living,,,
He is alive , don't beat yourself up,, addiction is a disease,, of the mind, body and soul,, patience is the first tool, in dealing with this , once he is out of critical condition,, and is ok, but still in the hospital, give yourself a break,, don't sit with him,,, let him detox, and let him realize,, your no longer going to live in his world ,, don't cuddle him when he is in hospital,,,

I'm glad your insincts were right on.
I know this is a set back in your mind, but try to think this is only a slip and he doesn't have togo back to that life again. I hope he understands that also.
I too am soo very sorry for what has happened . The others are right. Try to think of it as a slip and remain positive.. Your instincts are
extremely sensitive , thank God for that..Your son will hopefully learn from this and it will help him achieve sucess in the long haul.
