I'm taking my addict on a date tomorrow.

My addict turns 40 on Monday. I'm going to take him out tomorrow night to celebrate. Probably dinner, maybe dancing. Depending on how much energy his withdrawal riddled body can muster. I can't remember the last time we actually went on a date. I want an evening away from the kids. I want an evening where there is absolutely no talk of heroin. Just the 2 of us. I'm excited and nervous. I'm expecting something to go wrong. And I really need to stop thinking this way. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Mack is not a drinker. Doesn't like it at all. I can't tell you the last time I saw him with an alcoholic beverage. It's crazy, he's against alcohol but he will inject heroin. I don't understand addicts.

Anyhoo... Date night may be a little postponed. Both of my cars died last night. Brakes on my eclipse and the alternator on my tbird. Both cars within hours of each other. WTF. Mack is out there now trying to get at least one of them running.

My ex was not a drinker at all either, but there were times he would have a couple of beers and then the whole drug using cycle would start back up. I tried to tell him the brain is just saying, I like this but crack would be better.
