I'm letting it happen again!!

I'm letting my mind go to places I promised myself I wouldn't and I can't stop myself. I'm not even sure if she's doing anything wrong and I'm driving myself crazy. I feel like I'm losing control of myself and I said I that this would never happen again. why? Today I wouldn't let my daughter take her son out in the car because I thought she looked to sleepy, we fought, she told me I had no right to do that and I told her I would call her son's father and tell him what I thought and she backed right down. So now
I'm thinking to myself I was right all along, so now how do I handle this ? I've learned so may tools here and I should know what to do but do I want to start this all over again, especially if I'm not sure. I can't take this crap anymore, it's breaking me down and I'm beginning to think I'm crazy!!

STOP best technique I ever learned. When my brain won't stay out of my head I yell, "STOP!" This will help rewire the brain to quit obsessing so much!
When it comes to the safety of your grandson I would do what I seemed best. Right now you are doubting yourself and falling into old patterns second guessing yourself.

If you are responsible for her son then that is your main concern. Imagine he's your son and she is a neighbor with the same history same behavior. How would you respond?

You can't control her but you can protect your grandson if that's needed.

Pat, sometimes trying so hard to control someone can drain the life out if you. Katrika is giving the best advice ever, trust me I did it en my life was becoming consumed. It may be time Pat to really dedicate more time to you.

Pat take a deep breath.... You have to stay strong to care for your Grandson. You are not crazy and usually when we suspect they are relapsing its because they are and I know you don't want to go through all this all over again but addiction is a lifetime disease with tons of ups and downs and if this is going down you will want to have your strength.... Remember you do not have control of what she does but you do have control over how you respond.... Hugs and prayers being sent your way!
