Hi my friends it's been a few weeks since I've been on this site. Sorry, I am trying to catch up with everyone. I've been sick with pneumonia and just when I started to feel better boom,I fall down the front stairs and am layed up again.
Through all of this my daughter has been by my side. She's taken me to the doctors, cooked for me and spent Easter with me in the ER. I have seen so many changes in her I am amazed. It has been 8 months since I told her she had to leave and go to a sober house. I believe she has proven to me that she's changing, I know she is working hard.
I am scared to death but I am letting her come home because I believe in her. I had a long talk with her, I told her I am not the same person I was a year ago. I have grown stronger with God's help, something in me just clicked and I knew I had had enough. I let her know that this is her final chance and that I am scared because if she slips this time it will be the last time for me! I will never go back to that dark place I was in for almost 10 years. I let her know my fears and she said she understood, I hope she really does.
Please keep us in your prayers. I pray everyday for the strength I will need if she has a slip. For know I am trying to stay positive but it's hard not to doubt things. When she goes out I wonder where she is, when she's on the phone I wonder who she's talking to, it's hard to break old habits but I am really trying. Wish us luck!!
