I found out on New Years Day that my husband of almost 5 years has an addiction to porn and masterbating. I found thousands of photos and videos on his phone. He has spent thousands and thousands of dollars on woman sending him naked pics. I feel betrayed and I don't know how to have a marriage that isn't built on trust. He had all these different accounts I knew nothing about. Instragram, snapchat, tik tok, venmo, porn sites. I feel sick to my stomach.
He will need treatment for his addiction and there's no guarantee of success. You will need to decide if you want to stay while he attempts recovery. You may need counseling of your own to help you through this. Al-Anon is another option. The principles of Al-Anon are the same regardless of the type of addiction.
You'll also need to protect yourself financially if he's spending this kind of money on his habit. Running a credit report to find out all outstanding debt would be a good idea. If you stay married, you should do this on a regular basis. I'd also recommend an attorney.
