Quick run down: Son 6+ years heroin addiction, 8 months sober. The GF is 5 months sober, on methadone and pregnant. Our son is working a good job, new car and they were getting ready to move into their own apt tomorrow.
I JUST got the call from her and him, she is with her Mom, he is at work. Her water broke and she is on her way to the hospital with her Mom. Our son is wrapping up at work and heading to meet them. I'm about 3 hours away, so sitting by the phone.
I talked to her and calmed her down, she is scared and there is SO much going on in their lives right now. CRAZY timing! They thought they'd have a couple more weeks. LOL...
Welp, I guess I'm going to be Glam-Ma! (No grandma, or Mimi, or Nana for me folks! LOL)
Can't say I'm not scared for them, I'm apprehensive, but they have been so excited about this baby and doing REALLY well getting their lives put together, TOGETHER that I'm optimistic!
Our son was JUST up here this past weekend. It was a nice visit and glad he came up!
Prayers please! I'm hoping this baby is healthy, happy and they surround this child with love and a sober life, the both of them!

Picked mine up at daycare today...had dinner with her and got to tuck her in. Nothing better in this world.
I pray everything goes wonderful. Please update. You are all in my prayers.
She will be staying with her parents for another week after the baby comes home, he is fine with that as she is repairing her relationship with her parents and would like to have her mothers help for a bit.
I pray they stay on this healthy path and they realize this baby is a blessing.
I worry as she still needs to get off the methadone.
This is not easy and I'm hoping that all goes well with them and this baby gets a mom and dad who are sober, hard working and KNOW what a BLESSING this child is!
