We all feel the need to be alone from time to time..

Like I said, I am a strong independent person, and I know I can overcome all this crap. But I am at a point where I don't have any control over anything right now...I am so far behind in everything and have no time to catch up.
Katrinka, you are right...currently finals are the most important thing I need to focus on but I can't ...there is no place I can go and forget about everything else and just focus on finals...which I really need to do!!!...
I am my own best friend. I have always been an anti-social loner. I am happiest with my self cause I love myself. Although I love and care for my family (addict spouse and HS Senior Son (who is great by the way) and I am an empath...I empathize deeply with all the things they are going through and putting me through. But the time has come when I HAVE TO BE ALONE to get through one the most difficult seasons of my life...and I can't do it!!!
I really feel like I am going CRAZY!!! my house is a mess, my health is a mess, my marriage is a mess, my school is a mess, my finances are a mess, my whole fucking life is a mess...and I have no way to release all of this frustration, fatique, fear, and failure. What the hell do I do?!
Depressed Recluse
It is literally driving me crazy and doesn't help with the health issues that I am having (I haven't even started to mention those).
I work on a college campus and I see students finding all sorts of creative places to study. Of course, many are in libraries (very peaceful and quiet!) Others are at the student union or laying in the grass reading. My daughter is a college senior. She locks herself in her bedroom and turns off the cell phone.
My personal favorite quiet places are the bookstore, church, museums, a hot bath or just driving in the car. There's also a really nice park near our house.
Oddly enough, when I'm stressed and need quiet, sometimes the best help is something noisy or active! That's when it feels great to just turn up the music and dance (or sing along in the car) or to get some exercise really helps to blow off steam.
Whatever you choose, go easy on yourself. You have too much on your plate and deserve a break.
