If loving them and praying for them was enough, none of us would be here.
I wish you peace, rest, and courage. It is a hard road.
Perhaps you can use this opportunity to tell your sober son how much it means to you that he is no longer putting himself and you through this hell.
we can only do what we can do.
My heart broke reading this. Where is rock bottom? Some just don't seem to have one.
My older son used 21 years. He came out of prison. Worked saved every penny and opened his own business. He's
Clean and getting married.
I'm telling you he was the worst of the worst. Never in a million years would I think this would ever happen.
Where there is life there's hope. I know what you live like. I have two addicts. Life is hell living with this for 21 years. I pray a lot and live always in fear. We understand what you feel. I'm sorry for the pain you are going thru. just know we get it.
Sending prayers and strength. You are not alone
You are right that no one can help him but himself. I will pray for all of you.
Our son checked-in to an in-patient detox/rehab last Friday morning. His time there is yet-to-be determined {21-30 days}, and there's a second phase {60-90 days} that he can go into afterwards. We pray night and day that he remains, completes the program, and rebuilds his life, never going back, never relapsing. My stomach is in knots 24/7 as fearful thoughts torment me. The enemy is fighting hard...but my GOD is able. Drawing closer to Him through all of this, holding onto His Word.
Our son is now on suboxone. Do any of you have experience - either personal or second-hand - with this medication? I've researched it via the internet, but of course, the opinions are varied and vast.
Again, thank you ALL for your prayers. *hugs*
