I have not been on this board in a long time because I have let my sister and her boy friend do what they are going to do. He uses the drugs and she cleans up after him. Well I got a call at work yesterday saying that he over dosed and my sistere who is a nurse had done ever thing in her power to keep him alive but when he got to the hospital the ass hole died on her. This guy is also the sperm doner for my nephew. Who by the way because of him coming back into his and his mothers life now lives with my other sister. Anyway my sister is a mess. She blames herself saying things like if I would have slept in bed with him I would hav heard him gruggling and been able to do something about it right away. I hate him for this. He was the one how put the pills in his mouth and though he did not think he was going to over do it this time he did it not my sister. Now I have to see my sister who I have lost contact with over the last 3 yrs go through this heart break. the only thing I pray is that she can open her eyes and see that this was not a way to live and get herself back on track.

Maybe in time she will see what a blessing this actually is.

Hopefully she can get some help with this so she does not blame herself.

I hope sometime soon she will realize the only person that can help them is THEM.It just reinforces the fact that addicti9n ends in jail, re-hab or in this case death. It would be for her benefit to attend a support group for her and her son. God Bless Her !

Why are you so angry at him that even his death is something your angry about?

It is so true about being angry at them. I never liked him first off because he left my sister almost 16 yrs ago PG with my nephew and then all the sudden 13 yrs later he pops back into his and her lives and turns it upside down. It was a mess. and then he up and dies on them. So there is my sister who even though he used drugs and broke apart her family she still Loved this tornato for some reason. Then my nephew who had some good moments with him and there is his mom saying just remember the good times you had which where like 3 xs out of 4 yrs. I just wish I could give my sister a pill that would make her forget him and the last 4 yrs. because to tell you the truth he did not bring any good to her life in those years. The only thing I am thankful for to him is for being a good sperm donor.

I see your point. It must have been infuriating for you to watch her take him back and stay with him through the addiction and mistreatment. It was his choice to be an addict. It was her choice to be involved with him and not set up healthy boundaries. And it is your choice to allow that to anger to consume you. Anger is a normal emotion, but it is an emotion that should be let go at some point. Not held in until we feel we may explode. Your sister's man was sick and so was she. Why don't you come over to our ALANON group and you can read the stories and vent and sort of see what I"m talking about.
