I looked and never found one. But I agree, there are definitely some unique issues here. I've been going to Nar-Anon meetings, and I have found the people there receptive and welcoming.

The main differences I noticed with the pot addict is that they usually believe the pot is good for them - there is a whole culture they have adopted. With cocaine, meth, or heroin, I think they know the drug is bad for them, hide, and are ashamed, and really don't care if it hurts them. I think it is much harder for the pot addict or the Alcohol-only addict to realize they have a serious problem and they need to completely abstain, because they see so many other people who are capable of using and not have it affect their lives.

And it's definitely a different animal for friends and families to deal with as well.

I really think the things we learn are the same for any of them...and mental addiction is as strong as the physical in many or most cases. setting boundaires, breaking laws, using people....all the same.

I'm pretty sure there is not one drug ok, and one not,,, truthfully the use of drug( whatever it may be) is the symptom of the addiction,,, for some may not think food that big of a deal,, but if that is your drug of choice,, and it has consumed your mind, body and soul,, then I say there is no level of degree of what drug is worse then the other,,, all can destroy, consume and eventually kill if not stopped,,

Agree with cardinal. It's like cancer there are many different cancers but in the end they are all cancer. It's the same with the disease of addiction.
