Hi all, as you know, our son is in rehab, hit's his 60 days today and we brought him up for his first overnight to our home, we moved over 1 1/2+ years ago and he's NEVER been here. We picked him up 7am on Saturday and when we saw him, I saw tears in the hubbies eyes. Great ride back to the house, he loves the place. I loved hugging him!

We had some great talks, lots of laughs and tons of food.

1st stop was to the Barber! Got his hair cut, got him a bear trimmer, necessaties and some clothes.

Yesterday I took him out and drove around our new town and showed him the sights and did some mudding in my newer jeep...we had more laughs.

Then got him a nice duffle bag on wheels and a few other things he needs.

Strange thing is he NEVER once asked for ANYTHING! Before he would ask for everything, expect everything.

It was hard dropping him off, I wouldn't let go of him lol...

As we drove away, with tears in my eyes, my husband asked if I was okay. It was a strange feeling that came over me, it was a feeling of calm. I have not felt that in YEARS. It felt like my heart had opened up after being closed for so long.

I just feel hopeful, blessed & happy.

Sadly, there are still those 'suspicious' feelings that came over me that showed me, yes I have to work on 'habits' of mine as well.

Nothing but the moment is guaranteed, so I will enjoy the moments and keep my heart open.
