Today was the first day I saw a glimpse of my son the way I remember him. He has been in IOP for going on week 2 now, he seems positive, and on his final taper down of suboxeone ( used as a 2 week detox ) I went to family night last week, it was very draining and emotional for me, I don't think the holidays helped much. Anyway I am really trying to leave the past behind and focus on the future. I said to my husband that we need to embrace the little things, and not expect big leaps and changes, he still has not started his NA meetings which I am concerned about. I said this time I wasn't going to tell him to go to a meeting, or print out all the locations, or try to do it for him. So how do I remain positive, supportive with out trying to remind him of what he has to do. He has been through IOP this same time last year so I know he understands what to do. The fear is always there, so How do you get beyond it? Thank you all for your support.
