It has been a nice weekend, and hate to admit it, because our son has not been here.
I hate to say it out loud, but truth is truth. He is at his GF's house, and he DID call me yesterday a.m. 'can you come to get me?'....it is an hour drive there and an hour back. NO...like I told him, you need to make PLANS for your day, not to call me and expect me to drop what I'm doing to drive ALL that way at YOUR convenience.
Well thank GOODNESS I didn't do it, as his GF, who has an eating disorder but doing really well now, collapsed as they where walking the dog and he had to call and ambulance and rush her to the hospital. She was VERY dehydrated. He called to let me know and said 'well I'm glad you said no, she would've been all alone when it happened.
He did call this a.m. stating he was 'trying to figure a ride back for work this afternoon." well, again, I'm NOT running out to get him. I am working too and need to get stuff done today before I go to work. So I didn't even say anything.
These are the things that drive me crazy and get my mind ticking...
But yesterday I went out and got some plantings for my garden and spend the afternoon digging up the 'old' plantings that were just a nuisance and replanting the new items and it looks lovely and it was therapy, although I'm sore today...lol..old age oh YEAH! LOL...
He has an interview in her town today for a job, so I'm hoping they will hire him, they will get their crap together and find a place to live there and get on with their lives.
I want to be able to live my life as relaxed as it has been since Thursday!

And your spot on! I realize that now. Like right now, he starts the 'new job' today at 2 pm, as he hadn't planned on staying at the GF's since thursday, he has no change of clothes, etc and he went into the city to see his college buddies for the night, was to take the train down here, get his clothes and head to the new place, haven't heard a peep, oh well, it is HIS job, HIS life.....
BUT on the flip side, hubby being at work, me being home alone, I vacuumed the floors, steam mopped them, did ALL the blankets and comforter on my bed (which NEVEr fit in the old washer lol), dusted, all weekly house work is DONE and since 9:30am LOL...now it's on to deviled eggs, high temp roast beef for dinner and some shopping in a little bit. HEE HEE....
So yeah, I just have to say 'SO what am I doing today!".....
a great drama free weekend.....
