NO ONE WANTS TO GROW UP AND ONE DAY BE A DRUG ADDICT, BUT again unless and until it happens to you or someone in your family you will never ever understand that.
But I can't help but think of the hell that must have been for her parents and family. They seem rather reserved and untrusting of her now. Timid, I guess. She is frustrated that her dad and step mom are lacking in parental support these days - but I sometimes wonder if their current behavior is reflective of the way she treated them when her addiction was active.
For you heroin moms - does the worry ever go away, even if they have given up the drugs? Or is there a continual worry and lingering pain?
they say if you look hard enough, you can find a blessing in every situation... all of you, my dear friends are the blessing in this horrible path we walk... couldn't do it without you!!
