SO, as you know, I broke my rule and allowed our son to come home for a limited time ( I remind him daily: tick tock tick tock)....as he is starting to really get his crap together and was at the end of his 'rope' and just needed some help, not money, just a pillow, a roof and help him run the errands he needs, getting taxes done, getting to the VA and helping him with his funds that he is getting so he CAN get his own place.
Monday sucked, Tuesday wasn't much better, yesterday seemed well, okay...and we have gotten ALOT done!
Today is way much better, we had coffee early a.m. and had a long talk and then went into our 'debate' mode over social issues (we LOVE doing that, he has his outlook I have mine) And he has even won me over on some HUGE issues after I did much research.
He is smart, good hearted and open, sometimes TOO open. But I let go of my anger at him and opened up to who he is in this moment. He just wants to be heard, he wants to talk, he wants help and he wants his life back. His GF and another friend who have been SO instrumental are there every minute for him which I'm greatful. Am I blinded, not really, I'm still suspicious every moment, but that will take time to get over if ever.
So he has gotten his 401K monies in and he has paid a debt to a friend, nothing drug related, they bailed him out of jail and he owed them money and he was insistant he pay them back 1st thing. He got his netbook out of 'hawk' with his own $$...he got the steps for his licenseing back that he needs to do....and today HE GOT A HAIR CUT. He looked like the cover of Aquarius...the big bushy head and unshaven mess.....he 1st came out of the barbershop with a 'slight' trim, I was in the car and sent him bACK IN for MORE...the barber looked out the window and was laughing....THEN he came back out 10 min later WOO HOO! Hey Good LOOKING! The barber looking out the window and I gave the thumbs up, she was hysterical! He looks so nice. He bought himself a shaver and is now doing his beard up....damn good looking kid!
I'm taking it day by day....and all he wants is a decent place he can have us over for dinner (and he is an awesome cook!).
I pray for him and hope that he is really clean, eyes look good, no ticks or nodding off like he use to...he looks healthy, he was skinny when he got here, but I'm fattening him up....LOL....
My sister hasn't called me, too bad, she needs to GET OVER IT, it is NOT HER LIFE! So I won't call her (and actually it's peaceful, she can be a real BITCH!).
We'll see, but at least I know I can vent here LOL...makes me feel better and a BIG THANKS to:
CARDINAL for seeing me through yesterday before I completely lost my mind! ;O)....

His GF is back from a last minute vacation to see friends out of state and hopefully this will be the turning point for both of them. He says they are getting a place together and he was waiting for her return.
Let's see what this week brings. He needs to finish alot of items up off his 'to do' list, but he is SO close to it all.
He is waiting to hear back from a couple places he has put resumes into and he has appointments this week for other things he is finishing up.
All I know is I DO love him, he is TRYING to turn it around but I do keep instilling to him that he is working on a time frame and he made a mention to my neighbor last night who came to get me to go see a play, that he was 'just visiting for a bit'. So he KNOWS he is not moving back here.
And as a reminder, his old bedroom is torn apart with two sets of mattresses and boxsprings (one being his own) and I told him I was NOT setting it all up again, that his mattress/boxspring are ready for delivery to his new place....;O)....
But BOY can this kid EAT! Flip side is he has gained weight back and looks good.
I went out last night to see The Wedding Singer in our local theatre and he didn't even go out! LOL....
He spends ALOT of time on his guitar and the piano and practising his music, which is AWESOME!
(As I sit here there is a female cardinal outside my window on a branch tweeting away THANKS CARDINAL39! LOL)
So, we are 'plugging along'!
