Pat I'm sorry I missed you earlier, the only suggestion I have is Legal Aid? Have you tried them? I gave my daughter $1,000 for an attorney when she lost custody 4yrs ago of her kids for drug abuse. It did no good and all I did was waste my money that I really didn't have. She is going through it now again, the father dropped off my grandson but took my grand daughter out of state without permission. So it is a battle, I am praying and leaving it in God's hands, there is nothing more I can do. She has to help herself, and if the court thinks there is drugs going on she will not win no matter what. She is still abusing pain pills but hasn't been tested as of yet so skating by. I make sure my grandson has what he needs and let her learn the hard way. It's not easy to do but the only thing I can do for myself to stay sane. I can't allow myself to get to that insanity ever again, and she doesn't listen anyway. She is going to court soon, they are taking her off disability so she has a lot she needs to do and can only do it for herself. My heart goes out to you because I know how hard it is. HUGS

trust me,,,, I'm talking from experience,,,,, there is a little boy out there,,, that I don't even get to see,, cause of my addicits choices,,, I talk much about my grandson,, because the pain of not being able to see him,,, is heartbreaking,,, although,, we never had the chance to bound with him,,,,, the dad has full custody, ( little one is 2),, and because my addicit is his mom,,, we are penalize,,, but I know one day,,, we will reunite,,,,, and of course we have little ms Ava,,, if you asked me today,, would I allow her mother to have her back,,, my answer is no,,, but hopefully one day,,, she will beable,,,,,, we have legal custody of Ava,,,, never took the rights away,,, just protected Ava,,,,

I know I will never loose my visitation with my grandson it just hurts so much that he's not here in my home the way I want it to be, I miss not waking up to him calling Nana in the morning and jumping in my bed. I do now you are both right and Krista has alot of work to do on herself but I think she finally gets it, I just hope it's not to late.

Pat I know how this just crushes your heart..I didn't get to see my grandkids at all while the father had them. I was a big part of their life, saw them every day and when he got them he kept them from me.I was blessed to be back in my grandsons life after 4 yrs, I just hope my daughter can keep it together, she is having a very hard time. I still haven't seen my grand daughter or my little grandson who is autistic, can't even visit him as he is in a foster home and the father says NO. That breaks my heart that neither of them even care about him just because he has problems. I have fought with my daughter so many times about it. I keep praying that somehow God will intervene, and I can take custody of him and get him out of foster care. Reaching out and hugging you tight...Stay strong..
