Last night we attended our sons 1 year graduation ceremony at Teen Challenge. It was a wonderful event and we are so proud of our son.
The keynote speaker directed his speech at the graduates and spoke about what they may encounter once they are out in the world and done with the program. I was even more impressed than I had been before.
What an inspiration to see all those men and women of all ages get up and tell their stories of struggles in their past, and how they had overcome and conquered them with the help of this incredible program.
I think, I hope, I wish that there is help out there for anyone who needs it, or wants it. There is a program for everyone, secular or religious. Do your research for yourself, for your loved one, whatever it takes.

the real work does begin the more they are on the outside, on their own...that is when they are put to the test. You may see him struggle a bit, emotionally...which is fine, it is part of the process. It is lovely to see them develope into the person they were meant to be before addiction. Happy, happy, happy for you.
