My son, who was ECP'd on Friday was let out of the treatment center yesterday. They recognized he has a MAJOR depressive issue and he is an alcoholic. They let him out with a "treatment plan", same as they did the last time. They let him go without giving him ANY medication for his depression. I talked to my son last night, and he of course sounded just as bad as he did on Friday. I asked him if he had any alcohol in his apartment, and he said "no". Well, theres another lie. Unknown to him, my husband and other son went into his apartment day before last & saw he had beer in his fridge. For some reason, they didn't remove it. So the fact that he lied about it tells me he has no desire to quit drinking, because of the depression. I am SO mad at the so called psychiatrist that let him go with no meds. I feel like Im losing my mind. I have never been so scared in my life. I am just waiting for the next phone call from either my son drunk, or the Lincoln police telling us they found him dead or unconscious. Can anyone explain to me what I should do? We live 600 miles away from him & I feel like I should be doing something.
