Hey I have a brother who recently got out of drug rehab. I was looking for advice on how to treat with him. He treats us all like were his servants and is rude and doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself. He steals from me and has even stole a gold chain that means a lot to me. Whenever I bring up the fact that I think we need to really think about kicking him out my other brother gets mad at me and acts like I'm a horrible person. He does nothing all day and treats us all like shit and rarely helps out around the house. Any tips on what I can do about things with him?
If not, you need to have a family meeting and set rules that you all live by. If he was not helping because he was at meetings all the time, that would be one thing.
He is not the only injured party in this deal

that being said, if he was a jerk before rehab, before addiction- then guess what? now he is a dried out sober jerk. Flaws don't majically disappear because someone stops using.
SO, I would suggest no yelling, no fighting and using the words like "I feel" ie- I feel you could help more around the house and do your share.....not I feel+attack.
