yes, you deserve a vacation.
I told my husband that if being committed meant I got to get served food and I didn't have to cook or clean, could cry, or stay in bed...it sounded like a vacation.
SHOOOT SHOOOT! darnit. That makes me mad and sad.
I think you should go to florida.
run away.
if you really want to, why not? no one is living their life for you...you should do whatever you want.
stupid boys. I want to smack them.
Now I am sad.sad.sad. I am so sorry. I know you had your hopes up. your younger one was doing so well...and you let yourself get happy about st. chris's too. And I helped you hope about there.
I am really sorry. I am sending you a hug. I feel badly.
You need to do whatever you need to do. This has just gone on too long.
Sigh.
The older one is at a shelter. How he would pick that over a bed getting well is beyond me. I told him this is his disease and his life. And he replies with we are a family. It's all our problem. I don't see one of them helping me move. Three sons and I hired three guys yesterday. Had 40 stitches from eye surgery. Where were they? We are a family at times they can use me.
I'm trying to keep my head up and keep moving forward. I feel like I take one step forward and 10 back.
Appreciate the support I get here. It helps me keep my sanity.
Now as far as your son saying "we're a family". You're right where was he when you needed help to move ? It is such a one way street in their minds I just don't get it ( probably never will ) is it the addicts mind that thinks like this and maybe Blue is right maybe you should just go to Florida if that would make you happy ( well at least a little happier I know what it would truly take to get happy ) maybe it would shock your sons to the core if you just started living for you ? Addiction is so cruel in so many ways especially to the parents that have been there stood by them loved them hoped for them prayed for them and tried everything possible to help them only to be slapped back down time and time again by their relapses. I wish I had the answers for all of us but we all know that's just a dream .
I hope you recover from your surgery and figure out where you will end up and I hope wherever it may be you find some peace and happiness in your new home. Hang in there ! Hugs Dee
Saw my older boy today. He looks good. Hope he can continue on a path of recovery. We met up with the younger one so they can go to a meeting together. Yup high as a kite. Guess who the bad guy is for saying you're high. Yup that would be me.
So now what? They are together. Will one pick the other up or will one pull the other down. What a life
Hugs
