Well a new dimension has been added to this journey. My addict now doesn't have her car so she is in town go to emergency rooms for morphine. She gets a ride there but needs a ride to her place. So Monday she called and asked me for a ride, I said no I would not give her a ride. Take the bus. Yesterday same thing in the evening but this time I got the
"I'm begging you please give me a ride." Again I said no. She is also asking her sister for rides. And it is upsetting her, yesterday especially
because she had a medical procedure done and her addict sister wouldn't leave her alone.
So I was sitting thinking to myself is this how its going to be everyday/night. Waiting for her to call and all the drama that goes with it.
So I put her phone number into the phone system and when she calls it will go directly to voice mail. If its a true emergency we all have cell numbers she can call. Nobody answer them but if its important she will get ahold of someone.
I then told her this morning that I wasn't going to put up with drama everyday if she choose to live the life style that's up to her but I will not have drama everyday. I told her to get a bus pass, and the buses run to midnight. If its past midnight just to wait in the emergency room till morning.
I love her and have told her so but I have to be strong for my other daughter showing her she doesn't have to put up with her addict sister and her drama. My mother asked if I felt bad about her being in the cold and such, I told I felt awful but I cannot enable her.
Maybe I'm wrong in how I'm handling the situation, but enough is enough.
