Well my son had his monthly appointment with his Psychiatrist yesterday.
He is still complaining of severe anxiety and panic attacks. He has been on Thorazine for the last 4 months and staying clean and sober completely with only one little slip up.He is improving daily and just a joy to be around. He did ask the Doc for Clonipin. She feels that it might be more effective than the thorazine so only with my agreement would she prescribe it to Justin. I really never wanted him to take this again but I said because he has been doing so well staying clean and the Dr. feels he would benefit from it I will allow it. I am going to give him one pill a day only and if he starts asking for more I will not give him any. If it becomes a problem in anyway he will no longer be allowed to have it in my home.
I hope this works out but I have my concerns. He went to the pharmacy with his stepdad yesterday and got the prescription filled took one pill and put them away. When I got home I asked him for the bottle and he handed them over. He had the entire bottle for at least 3 hours and did not take more than one.I really hope he is able to take this medication without triggering the urge to use more, he had always abused this stuff in the past so we can only wait and see. Another test for both of us I hope we are prepared.

Marge, you have come along way,, I think you have the tools,, just don't let that guard down,,,, just because an addict is not using,, they still have the tendencies behaviors of an active user,, addiction is a disease of the mind,,, the use of drugs is a symptom
When a relaspse happens it takes place before the actuall drug is used,,,,
Keep doing what your doing,,,
It's his will to remain sober, we can only support that choice
