So last night my son went out with his friends, everything was fine -untill his 2 nd check in time came and went with no phone call. Ok whats going on i think to myself.So i give him an extra 1/2 hour since anyone can lose track of time but i/m already feeling that feeling in my stomach, so I try calling him surprise no answer, a few more times still no answer now my stomach is doing flips what is it this time i start to think. Meanwhile i/m trying to keep it low key as my 12 year old is starting to sense it too, and she has been through enough with regards to his issues. Now it's time to start calling his friends he was with a few don't answer. Of course not ,they don't want to rat on him. I finally get 1 to answer he tells me that Mattt is fine and he's in a different car but his phone died and he will have him call me as soon as they get back to his house So I wait and wait no call ( now I'm convinced something is wrong) So I call the friend's mom who says they went to a party and are on their way back. A party? I know thats not good. Finally an 1 1/2 hours after the intial call I hear his voice o thank GOD he is still alive but sounding f&%#@$ up What did you do Matt? "nothing " I said remember NO LIES He admits he was drinking ok not good but at least it's not the old demon heroin! Long story short he comes home an hour later stinking of alcohol with a scrape on his face a black eye missing his gold cross,cell phone and his expensive sneakers oh man what the hell. The story he tells is they went to a party were their a little while everything was fine and then 3 or 4 kids jumped him I just shake my head and think will this shit ever end? So todays plan is to drug test and reevaluate his choices with him . I hope he "gets it" someday! I am thankful that it wasn't heroin or any other of his old friends but i just wish it didn't have to be anything at all . We almost made it to 60 days ( that was what today would have been) So now we start again..................
