Lynn, I think what we miss it the person we knew our ex's could be. As my counselor explained it to me, in my head I have a vision of how my ex is and how our marriage would be. He had a different vision. I finally come to the conclusion that I will always have a certain love for ex, but I could never trust him again, he will always be an addict because people with addictive personalities just switch obsessions.
I am happy now, I live drama free and if I meet someone okay if not
I will still live a happy life.
