Well after 1 1/2 year sober we are in the same place again. Mom has relapsed yet again. 62 and still the same BS. Will it ever stop? I give up. I need to worry about those I brought in the world and put less focus on her. The horrible thing is I saw it coming and didn't want to believe it.

I am so so sorry that you are having to go through this again. Maybe you do now need to think about your own family. You can only do so much. Good luck am thinking of you

you have had a lifetime of experience, I have no doubt that you knew it was coming....you have seen the signs before.
you are correct. You do have to look after your children...they are your primary responsibility....and statistically speaking only, the longer someone is an addict, the older they are, the less their chances of full recovery. 1 1/2 years is a long time! Maybe she will try again.
