I just wanted to take a moment and wish all of my friends here a Merry Christmas. I know the Holidays are not a Happy time for a lot of us going through this struggle but try to remember there is always hope that our loved ones will turn their lives around and seek recovery. That is my wish for all of you still going through the hardships of this journey. I also just want to say Thank you to those of you who have always been there for me when my life was spiraling out of control my life is in a much better place right now and I pray every day that you all get some peace in your life too. God bless you all and here's to a much brighter 2014 !! Dee
When I reflect back on where we were last year at this time (at my sons worst), and where we are today I feel so truly Blessed! This year (as I sit and write this) my son is home (for a visit), sleeping, and going to help me with the grocery shopping later, and then on cooking / preparing our meal for tonight. We had a nice visit last night, and kicked back and watched a movie.
To all you (my friends) that are different spots on this road of addiction / recovery....please take care of yourselves, stay strong, and mostly remain hopefuls!!
