I so remember seeing my son for the first time when he got sober. We could not see him in the hospital he had committed himself to, and he did not tell us we could go see him at the homeless shelter/ rehab for over 6 weeks. So it had been 10 weeks of sobriety. Damn! He looked so good! I took his picture coming out of the building, arms raised, so excited to see us. I look at that photo and see a miracle.
