Well my husband and I went to the family group meeting were my son is in rehab at and it went really well. My son looks good and we had a nice and relaxing time with him in group. Thank you to everyone for all your support it helped me so much.

I hope you got to learn lots, and get some suggestions for when he gets out too....is he going to go on to a sober house?

Yes he is going to a sober house. At first he wasn't crazy about the idea, but now he doesn't seem to mind, but he also has no choice in the matter.

So glad your family session went well. We are going to try to have our first one on saturday.Not sure what to expect but hoping for the best.

my son didn't want to go to sober living either...but he did.. and even tho they can leave, and do stuff to get kicked out, it did help make him accountable for his actions once he had freedom again.
I so remember seeing my son for the first time when he got sober. We could not see him in the hospital he had committed himself to, and he did not tell us we could go see him at the homeless shelter/ rehab for over 6 weeks. So it had been 10 weeks of sobriety. Damn! He looked so good! I took his picture coming out of the building, arms raised, so excited to see us. I look at that photo and see a miracle.
