Well thank you so much Cardinal. I am honored. I stay here because I went thru enough crap to have learned a few things that I hope can help on a practical level, and spiritually I know I am a better person from all the heartache.

I would nominate Katrinka. We do not always agree. She is a statistics person and I am not. But she is one highly intelligent lady who shares her own personal journeys freely to the people that are in her situation. I think that she has overcome battles that lasted longer than some of you all were alive. SO for her having read every book out there, and being our DS libriarian and statistician, I nominate, with great respect, Ms. Katrinka.

Thank you Blueviole...all of us have something to share here and although we may not always agree, we still in our hearts want to help others who are traveling down this sad road of addiction. Blue you are the quieter and kind hearted person on this board and sometimes I wish I could more like you and not so loud!
There are so many ladies who I would like to nominate but one who comes to mind and it is Dmatt124, she has held strong and learned how to set boundaries and still help her son get on the road to recovery. She also helps others dealing with the same issues and is always offers supportive, helpful and caring advice. You are a very special lady indeed.

I would like to nominate LoriFla, she has been through much more than I have and gone through so much sorrow and pain and she is still able to give such meaningful advice as most of the women on here do. We share a lot in common with are daughter's and when I least expect it she is there with a hug just to let me know she is thinking of me. All of my friends here on DS are special ladies and if I could I'd nominate all of you but Lori I'd like to give you this honor.

I can't even pick one person. you have all been there for me in one way or another. I often wish we could all meet in real life for real hugs. I have never met a group of women that are soooo strong and so caring. As I go to my son's one year graduation....I will think of how far I too have come on this journey and it is muchly due to all of you on these boards. There is strength in our weakness.....

Thank you so much Katrinka, I am humbled and honored and you my friend, were the first person who made me look in the mirror and yell " Stop", and it was at that moment that I knew I could take back my life. All of you have a special meaning, and your words, your wisdom, your experiences help me everyday to become a better person.

My dear friend Dee I want to thank you for that kind gesture i have truly found a lifelong friend in you. I must nominate our beloved Kim Cardinal who without a doubt deserves to be recognized for all her selfless posts and educating newcomers on how to not enable their addicted loved ones. i was absolutely clueless when i first arrived here and although Kim was going through her own personal battle with her daughter she always took the time to reach out and check on me i can never repay that gratitude but hope she truly knows how important she is to our group love ya Kim !!! well thank you,,, although they say it takes a villiage to "raise a child",, all of you,,,,, blue,katrina, dmatt, Kimpalmer,Jailnor, jms, Pat,, Lorifla, Pen,,cyndee,,, so many of you,, have become my villiage,,, I may not be where I want to be,,, but Omg,,, I'm a lot farther then I was,,,, I fell upond this site,,, helpless, hopless,, so alone,,, afraid of the unknown,, confused,,uneducated on drugs,,,, from the knowledge,, to the validation,, to the hugs,, I received,,, basically safe me from,, the hole of insanity I was deeply in,,,,,

who would of known,, some of my best friends,,,, could pass me on the street and physically I would not know you at all,,,,

Cardinal-Kim for being honest & direct in your encouragement & leadership; to Katrinka with all your stats and life experiences; the Dee's and Blue for your stories, knowledge and common sense; for Jainlor, Kim Palmer, Bean and Marge - kindred spirits for sharing your similar stories; to Stacy, loriflora and others for being such rocks under adversity when faced with loss; for MissKim and ihatewisconsin for sending hugs whether I needed them or not. But mostly to everyone on this site for your faithful and never-ending devotion to always be there when help or advice is needed most.
