well daughter (herion addict) put herself in rehap,,, had family meeting,, when she got out of rehap decided that a three quarter house would be the best place for her,, since we can no longer be partt of her "addiction",, well just got a phone call,,,,, from the bailbonds man,, wanting to know if we were going to get her out of jail,, guess she was picked up yesterday on retail fraud in the 1st degree,,, told him,,, that I did not bail her out the last time,,, no not interested in doing it this time,,, at the famil meeting really thought she saw the light,,, but guess not,,,, I guess i just keep praying that she will find her higher power... thanks for reading,,, at least i know she is warm,, and off the streets

Venting is about the only thing you can do. In these situations, you just need to remember there is nothing more you can do except hope and pray. Bailing someone out or providing shelter only destroys you and the rest of the damily and enables the addiction. There is no reason this addiction needs to claim another victim. Pray she gets help, continue to love, and be there when she is truly ready to accept change.

thanks azkevin,,, thats why i use this site,,,, sometimes it is theraputic to write my feelings,,,, i do attend narcon which helps also,,,, i know there is nothing i can do but pray,,, and she knows that when she is ready to accept change,,, there is a whole family waiting for her!

so sorry! But like you said, she is safe and sober...warm...and she did try, and maybe she will try again.
Good for you for being strong. I am so sorry. She is so lucky to have a whole family waiting for her to get well. I will say a prayer for you.

I feel your disappointment but your strength and set clear boundaries is an inspiration to those of us who sometimes find it hard to maintain the boundaries. She made a step in the right direction so with gods guidance she will try again. And like the last response how profound that we find comfort in knowing they are not in the streets. You will be in my prayers.
