My son is an alcoholic (now sober 2 years 5 months and 11 days) and at 22 he was in jail.
I figured I knew where he was and he was sober and relatively safe, so I was sad, but actually more relaxed.
I was a paid employee of a large church and ran the sunday school for seven years...my son was a sunday school teacher- I did everything "right"...and I have stopped beating myself up.
all I can say in the way of advice is keep communication open with everyone in your household. no secrets, or they are used to the addicts manipulation.

my daughter is also 22,, just went and seen her in jail,,, guess better then the grave site!,, your so right about encouraging another,,, she did say that God put her behind bars, because He wanted her safe,, she just started using herione three weeks ago,,,, her court date is monday, so I guess we go from there,,, she did allow us to take temporary custody of her little girl (5),,, I know with the help of God"s grace we will get through this,,, I believe everything happens for a reason,perhaps through this experince I'm able to help someone out.,,
