My STBX was addicted to prescription pills since 2004, she took many things but if she had her choice it was hydrocodones with carisprodol, 10 or so of each a day. She went to rehab in November of 2010, stayed 40 days, got out, came home for about 2 weeks and walked out on me and our 2 kids.
I initiated divorce in early Feb 2011, but kept access to her medical info so I could see what she is doing. She got tramadol since she got out, from mote than one dr.
We had a temp custody hearing last week. 2 times within 3 weeks before the hearing she got 20 count hydrocodone scripts, I got custody and support at the hearing, she celebrated her loss 3 days later with a 60 count carisprodol with tramadol.
She is an RN, and says she is taking mandated drug testing, how can that be possible that she is passing them? Would you say this is a relapse?

as for the hydorcodone...yup. if she is passing the tests and not taking them now, that thought scares me. is she saving them up?
She is getting all these meds from doctors and it is showing up on your insurance? is that right?
from a stricly alanon point of view I would suggest once all the court stuff is over that you stop looking at her medical info...if she does not get to have the kids, and they are safe, then it is none of your concern. If they go with her,then I get the reasoning.
So sad. For all of you. And if she does get juiced for work, she really puts her patients in danger. Addiction affects all of us...
Hydrocodone stays in your system 72 hours and Tramadol stays about the same from what I read.
It must be a pain always having to check up on her, have you thought to let it go. Eventually if she has relapsed she will be found out.
