It is so hard to think of all the things they will miss in life. He was so young. I am so sorry for your loss and that of your sister's. Each holiday that has gone by since my husband's death has been tough, although I haven't been through a birthday yet, I am not looking forward to it.

I wish you peace and comfort as you remember Jordan on his birthday.

I understand and feel the the same...My friend had passed when he was 18 and everytime his b-day comes around or his anniversary i always find myself wondering what he would have been doing...but i know that he is happy in heaven...

I feel for you. From what I've heard, all the "firsts" are very hard. My brother was found July 22nd and my wedding is Friday. God, as happy a moment as that is supposed to be, I know I'm going to be thinking "I wish Johnny was here." I know he'll be watching but I'd still like a hug and to hear that belly laugh again.

my sister killed herself when she was 18. a few weeks ago, she would have been 49. i always remember. every great once in awhile, i wonder what it would have been like to have a sister, esp when signif events happen, such as my/our mother's death.

my sister died on august 6th, which was the day we dropped the bomb on hiroshima. that event is always mentioned, every year, in the news. in japan, it's often observed by the making of small paper boats, with lit candles placed in the middle, and placed on lakes. i now do that on august 6th, and find it very peaceful.
