I have a 6 yr old son that is the only reason i get up most days, I feel like the actions of my past and course of my life are going to hurt him eventually. 50% of the time i am not with him and i am literally alone. I Work come to my house sleep till i have to work again. rinse and repeat.... When i am with him i feel much better and am very attentive and interactive. I am nothing and not worthy of forgivness and love, this is a fact that will never change. What i want to know, does anyone have any informaiton on how it affected them, do they even remeber the parent. What does it feel like. I feel he will be better off but it has to be soon. My biggest fear is he will ask himself "why wasnt i enough?" and it is that thought that keeps me from finalizing this expierence.

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
My brother in law committed suicide about 8 years ago. Nobody even knew he was depressed because he kept it so well hidden. He had a nice home, a good job, money in the bank, and a beautiful wife and teenage daughter but you know what? No matter how well we think we know another person, we never really know what's going on inside his head. After he passed, the former wife and daughter moved away from the area. I suppose the memories were haunting them but I heard though the grapevive that they went through beraevement therapy which helped them both deal with their loss. I miss my bil. He had a sense of humor that was second to none.
I know this probably doesn't help you but things happen in this life that have no rhyme or reason. We just deal with it the best we can and move on with it.
Try to stay present for the son. Digging up past negative occurances will only contaminate the present.
If you need to talk, there are lots of people here who would love to chat. Join some other groups....send out friend requests. No need to be alone with the internet linking all of us together.
