My dad killed himself when i was five after i told him something his friend had done to me. then said friend told me if i had kept my mouth shut, i would still have my dad. :'( advice? help? agreements?

That wasn't your fault, nor anyone else's. You did what you had to do. Everyone handles pain and fear in different ways, and that was a way your father chose. Whoever told you that wasn't a friend at all. Everything happens for a reason. Your dad still loves you no matter what. I'm sure he'd want you to be happy, too. Keep your head up! Everything will be okay.

O, sweetheart, it's not your fault. Not ever. Don't ever think that way.

You had bad news for your dad. As a kid, you couldn't help that. Kids trust their parents to look after them. It's the law of nature.
As an adult, he had an array of reactions he could choose from when faced with a bit of bad news.
He chose poorly.

I'd say the man who told you you should have kept your mouth shut has more to do with it than you do, if anyone is to blame.
Both of these situations were not good for a little girl to have to experience, and I am so sorry you had to go through them both.
