My husband attempted suicide 2 years ago and since then has been in and out of short term psychiatric facilities 5 times. Is actually admitted right now. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, major depressive disorder and PTSD. Even when he’s home it is a struggle to get him through each day. He sees a psychiatrist and a counselor and is on several medications. I live in fear because of his suicidal issues. On top of that it’s hard because we have 2 children and I am the only one able to work. I am torn between being home to take care of him and working to provide for us and providing insurance for his treatment. Some days I am so afraid to open the doors in our home because I’m afraod I will find him dead. I don’t know how anyone handles it or can support their family. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard spot and don’t know what to do.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Certainly we have no control over others and must deal with the choices they make.
I have a good friend who has that. He is a vet and also has ptsd and depression but as long as he is taking his medication, he is great to be around.
We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you can find some peace! Keep us posted.
God Bless
Give yourself a break and deal with you and it's effects on you too. Also give yourself a bid pat on the back because taking care of someone with schizo tendencies is tough but suicidal ones are even harder to get back to reality and be able to enjoy life again even though they only see their disease and don't like themselves sometimes because of it.
Like bobinmaine said we can't control them but it sounds like you are doing all you can so be proud of that even if the day comes and he does succeed in suicide, you need to be proud of you for taking care of him when others can't or don't know how. Another thing could be checking out someone to come in the house to check on him, like caretaker, or another family member. I hope you find some relief soon and don't burn out. Hugs and prayers to you for the strength to take of your loved ones and yourself.
