On 10/22/2009, Midvale City Police received a suicidal call from my son's girlfriend and they came by my house. My 18 yrs old son first parked his car on the lawn rather than on the empty driveway. Also we could not find him immediately and he showed up from nowhere for awhile. Then police talked to him and asked him to call them if we needed help despite the fact I told them he had 2 suicide attempts in the past. An hour later, my son died from hanging.

I wish the police had called for in depth psychiatric evaluation or at least, at a minimum suggested me to do so since I was so shocked and could not think straight.

The same policemen came (1st and 2nd time). He said he was sorry and his sister died from suicide. Then a week later, he was dismissed from work due to under the influence while on duty.

Several months later, my shrink already asked me to report back to the hospital in the afternoon. In the a.m., a friend placed a suicide call and Midvale Police came. They did not let me off the hood even I told them I was going back to the hospital in the afternoon for my shrink was waiting for an empty bed for me. They made me go in the ambulance to the ER right away. I screamed at them "why did you not do that to my son but me?"

Wrongful death has only a year filing. As of today, I still cannot find an attorney to take my case. One is because it takes time and effort to be against the city, second, they know I have no money.

I pray that something I can do so no one else will suffer what I suffer. I do not want any law enforcement agents neglect the deep cry of those souls ... we need no more!!!!
