This is a group for anyone who has Factor V Leiden, a clotting disorder. Or people who know someone with this condition.
I have been taking Coumadin now for 3 years. Since my P.E. I have had trouble handling the hot weather, especially this year in Chicago we were breaking records everyday. I get really sluggish and dizzy a lot. I really didn't have these feelings before my P.E or taking any other meds. Anyone have these same issues. I have never been the same since taking blood blood thinners and having the P.E and finding out about the FVL. It's been awhile since I have been on.this site. It sure has grown in the P.E. Membership, I hope everyone is doing well.

I have problems with the hot weather. I can barely stand to go outside when it is really hot. I have beenon Warfarin about a year and a half.

I have noticed that I get dizzy alot! Don't have the problem with getting hot though. I am usually very cold! Just curious about how often you have your INR checked? My Dr has me waiting 6 months to check mine! Seems like a big span there. Especially since 2 weeks before my last check mine was almost 4! Hope things are getting better for you with cooler weather on the way!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
