Estranged Parents and Adult children Community Group
This group is for all parents of adult children that are or have been estranged. A place to vent and share.
I am looking for an active board and am not too sure how active this one is. Here's my thing:
Just not sure what to do anymore... don't have a mother to ask of my own, so I'm asking other mother's here. What do you do with a daughter that treats you with so little respect, has no consideration of boundaries, swears at you, rages at you, is just plain nasty at you and throws deliberate, nasty comments at you, is ungrateful to all you do, uses you and then acts like you are the enemy. I have tried everything. The emotional outburst from her, even for just a few moments when she is around me is horrifying. So is her defensiveness. It seems all things that are wrong in her life are projected at me, onto me, or just plain acts like she hates me. Our relationship is barely hanging by a thread. She sees NOTHING of what she does or how she treats me, though others do. They only see her "nice" or "sweet" side. She is an adult so little in the way that I can do. Just don't know what to do anymore.... I just know I don't deserve how she treats me and it's just one more thing in my life of all the things that I am going through.

I still have no idea what I did, didn't do, why his character change of jeckl to hyde? I'm finally no longer bitter, but saddness and not knowing where he is cloggs up my heart and soul. Tears aren't as every day any longer, but the fact that he's living with a family (parents) that deal drugs and booze it up leaves me in AWE.
I Pray alot, and hope that someone would grab hold of him and just knock some sense into what use to be a Loving, God Fearing, Charming and Loving Young man. Or he would hit rock bottom and realized he's on a path of no return. This seems to be an entitlement attiude in which I never taught or brought him up on a silver platter to speak of.
I'm 60 trying to get on with Life. I've joined a group of "Creative Writers", and hope to sign myself up for Paint Class as well. If you'd like, email me, or send me how you are doing?
