Congrats on going back to work. The first few days I went back to work after surgery, I dozed at my desk off and on. Fortunately, my boss ignored this and let me be. I gained strength as I recovered, and things improved. I generally ate small portions of fast foods for meals and kept packages of crackers (peanut butter toast, etc.) around for snacks. I had lost 76 pounds, and only slowly got some of it back. I also got nausea after each meal which I finally dealt with by "napping" in my car for a short while after eating. Sometimes I only ate 2 or 3 bites of a burger. Other times it was a little bit more. Over time, this improved (slowly), so be patient.

I think it's great that you're going back to work. This is a more positive step than you might imagine, as I'm sure you will see quickly.

Hi Fred - thanks for your comments and congrats on going back to work - not sure how I'm going to do but will give it a shot. For my snacks I will be taking crackers & cheese and peanuts. I used to have a salad each day for lunch but since surgery haven't tried one yet not sure how lettuce is going to go down.
Wow you sure did lose a lot of weight mine is staying steady because of the feeding tube and my nightly "feeds" lol which hopefully I can get the feeding tube removed next week.
What I find really strange from reading other people's posts is the nausea after eating or just plain nausea - thankfully mine has just about gone but I find if I eat too much I know all about it lol.
I will keep you all posted as to have my first few days at work goes.
