Esophageal Cancer Support Group

Esophageal cancer is malignancy of the esophagus. There are various subtypes. Esophageal tumors usually lead to dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), pain and other symptoms, and is diagnosed with biopsy. Small and localized tumors are treated with surgery, and advanced tumors are treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy or combinations.

Thank you for posting this. I always felt she had passed on, but I wanted to know. I wish it weren't so, but she was suffering and now she no longer is. As stated here, she is now with our Lord and Savior.

Thanks, Cindy. I remember when Mary first found our board and how much it meant to get to talk with us and share her feelings and listen to ours. We'll miss her. She was such a sweet person. Brenda

She has really been on my mind. I too thought that she had passed but wanted to know.

I'll miss her and will keep praying for her. I am glad she is no longer suffering.

Mary's Birthday is tomorrow , she would have been 57 , her daughter said she donated her body to science
