Esophageal Cancer Support Group

Esophageal cancer is malignancy of the esophagus. There are various subtypes. Esophageal tumors usually lead to dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), pain and other symptoms, and is diagnosed with biopsy. Small and localized tumors are treated with surgery, and advanced tumors are treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy or combinations.

The biospy from my endocope came it. The tumor back. This time it's in the stomach. Need more prayers.

News no one wants to receive, but there are those on the board that have had a recurrence & I think the main thing is getting that new direction to take & I'm sure some will post for you. Checked into the hospital yesterday. They CT scanned the brain.
Looks like mets to brain with tumor in stomach. Talked to radiation oncologist about options. Still need MRI to be sure. Also waiting to see medical oncologist about stomach.

I am now in home hospice care. The mets have spread to my liver and brains and no food passing through to the stomach'
