Esophageal Cancer Support Group

Esophageal tumors usually lead to dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), pain and other symptoms, and is diagnosed with biopsy. Small and localized tumors are treated with surgery, and advanced tumors are treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy or combinations.
It's probably best to look at this as we have all looked at our loved one's battle with EC. Statistically, it's not a good cancer to be diagnosed with. But, as so many have said over an over, each person is their own statistic. Undergoing treatment is a chance at survival.
It gives me hope that this treatment will be successful for your brother. Where would he have the treatment done?
