Esophageal cancer is malignancy of the esophagus. There are various subtypes. Esophageal tumors usually lead to dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), pain and other symptoms, and is diagnosed with biopsy. Small and localized tumors are treated with surgery, and advanced tumors are treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy or combinations.

Yes it is the Xeloda pill form that he is having issue with. Doctor did give him the option to do by IV but my dad is pleased with the results so wants to stick with the pill form. He's only doing half dose pill form now. So we shall see how it goes. We have done a lot more research and feel much more prepared this time around. My father met with a nutritionist and we are more on top of all other drugs needed for his comfort.
